USA Equestrian Host Communications & USA Equestrian, Inc. Form Alliance

30-Year Sports Marketing Leader Further Expands Equine Properties

Host Communications, Inc. (HOST) enters 2002 celebrating its 30th
anniversary, as well as a brand-new alliance with USA Equestrian, allowing
the lifestyle, sports and affinity marketing leader the opportunity to
further expand its equine properties.

USA Equestrian, Inc., as the National Equestrian Federation of the U.S., is
the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship sports of
dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping, and vaulting,
as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian competition. HOST
will work closely with USA Equestrian, also based in Lexington, Ky., to
leverage its national presence among Corporate America.

HOST will concentrate on assisting USA Equestrian with brand recognition
through driving national sponsorship sales, increasing awareness for the
country's largest multi-breed organization. Marketing opportunities include
access to more than 80,000 members through USA Equestrian member magazine,
Internet site (www.equestrian.org) and sponsorship of more than 2,800
competitions nationwide, for exposure through various radio, television,
on-site signage and promotions. The average annual household income for
members is $134,500; 85% of members are female, 58% are college graduates or
higher with an average net worth of $955,400.

"It was imperative that we seek out the counsel of HOST as we continued to
take our business to the next level and gain a better understanding of our
marketability from a national perspective," said Federation President Alan
F. Balch. "HOST knows our industry and certainly has a solid knowledge of
the sales arena, so we feel good about our new agreement and believe it will
be enormously valuable for USA Equestrian's current and future operations."

As part of the organization's overall branding initiative, HOST will play a
key role in further educating audience groups that USA Equestrian formerly
was named American Horse Shows Association. That change began taking place
in July, and was finalized in December, and better reflects the organization
and its focus. USA Equestrian sanctions competitions in all 50 states
throughout the year.
"This group is well-positioned to explore sales opportunities outside its
own industry and we know the proper channels to help guide them," said HOST
President and COO Marc Kidd. "As part of our two-year agreement, we will
help evaluate the possibility of creating televised events and other
marketing avenues to increase widespread exposure for USA Equestrian and its
events."
