Tom McCutcheon Wins Inaugural Intervet/USET Reining All Star Series Event

Gladstone, NJ—February 13, 2003— Tom McCutcheon of Pilot Point, TX won the inaugural $25,000-added Intervet/USET Reining All Star Series event, riding Smartest Chic Olena, owned by Terry Owens of Weimer, TX, on Sunday, February 9 at the Reliant Arena in Houston, TX. The pair finished with a score of 219 points edging out Todd Crawford of Blanchard, OK, who was second with a score of 218.5 riding Commandalena, owned by Christina Knox of Ardmore, OK. Tom’s brother Scott McCutcheon of Whitesboro, TX, came in third with a score of 217.5 on Inwhizable, owned by Scott and Kathleen McCutcheon and Ed and Christine Hamilton.

The class drew thirteen entries with riders from as far away as Arizona and featured two USET Gold Medalists from the 2002 World Equestrian Games, along with several AQHA and NRHA Champions. Pete Hale of Intervet and renowned trainer, John Lyons, presented the awards to the top ten finishers of the event.

The Intervet All Star Series is part of the new equine extravaganza called “Equus America”, which includes two events featuring sessions with John Lyons along with a host of other prominent clinicians including Olympic veteran Bruce Davidson and USET Dressage Vice President Jessica Ransehousen.
