Mister Springfield (ISH) Ranked Fifth in BCM World Breeding Rankings

Following his highly successful run at shows over the last few months Mister Springfield (ISH) has been ranked Number 5 in the BCM World Breeding Rankings (Showjumping) for the period from October 1st, 2002 to the end of February 2003. The other world class horses joining Mister Springfield at the top of the World Rankings include Shutterfly, Granie V, Gladdys S and Goldika.

The results that brought Mister Springfield (ISH) and his rider, Robert Smith (GBR), to the top include the following:

Won the Geneva (SUI) CSI W Grand Prix on December 13th, 2002.

Won the Zurich (SUI) CSI***** Credit Suisse Grand Prix on January 30th, 2003.

Won the Vigo (ESP) CSI W Premio Caixa Galicia qualifier for the Grand Prix World Cup on February 14th, 2003.

Second in the Paris-Porte de Versailles CSI A Prix Clarins Men 1m50 on November 29th, 2002.

Second in the London-Olympia Sony Ericsson Grand Prix on December 23rd, 2002.

Third in the Bordeaux CSI W Grand Prix on February 9th, 2003.

Fourth in the Maastricht (NED) CSI A on December 6th, 2002.


More recently Mister Springfield (ISH) finished second in the S’Hertogenbosch (NED) Grand Prix FEI World Cup on March 23rd, 2003. He also won the Goteborg (SWE) CSI W 1m50 International Jumping Competition and the Goteborg Grand Prix FEI World Cup Qualifier (March 27th-30th, 2003).

Mister Springfield is a 1993 Irish Sport Horse gelding by Western Promise (ISH), out of Glebe Bess (RID), by Ballinahow Boy (RID). He was bred by Robert L. Gallagher, 22 Springfield Road, Co. Derry.
