ILPH Loan Scheme goes On-line

To speed up the process of finding loan homes for their horses and ponies the ILPH (International League for the Protection of Horses) has decided to put them on their website.

Although the ILPH currently has 1800 horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes out on loan to approved homes they are always looking for suitable borrowers for those equines that have completed their rehab or have been returned.

With over 2,000 people now on the waiting list it had become impossible to find the right horse for the right person within an acceptable period of time. Now, all the horses and ponies will be put on www.ilph.org as soon as they are available for re-homing and those looking for a horse or pony will be able to find out all about them and even see what they look like. If they see a suitable horse or pony they simply fill in their own details on-line and and this will go directly to the appropriate Centre Manager.

Comments Tony Tyler, Director of UK Operations, "The introduction of the new Loan Scheme is an exciting development for the ILPH. Potential borrowers will be able to see pictures, view details and apply for individual horses and ponies on-line. This will speed up the process of finding suitable loan homes, thus allowing us to take in more needy horses and ponies each year."

For those who do not have personal access to the Internet, local libraries, colleges and Internet cafes could provide access to our website. Centre Managers are always happy to let visitors know what horses are currently available on their farms.

Jenni Smith, ILPH Loans Officer, will be happy to deal with any queries on 0870 873 1927.
