£100,000 Cash Jackpot at HOYS

A total £100,000 cash jackpot is once again on offer in the 2001 Bonus Challenge at this year’s Horse of the Year Show at Wembley Arena, 2nd - 7th October.

The Bonus Challenge is one of the richest prizes awarded at any show jumping event, and is sponsored by BEIB (British Equestrian Insurance Brokers), the BSJA’s official insurance brokers, and equestria.net. To claim the £100,000 challenge, the same rider must win the following four international show jumping classes;

· The equestria.net Leading Show Jumper of the Year

· The Puissance

· The Speed Horse of the Year

· The equestria.net Grand Prix

If the four-class Challenge is not achieved, then the following Bonus Prizes are up for grabs;

· £10,000 prize fund for any rider that wins the Puissance and the Grand Prix, which willbe increased to,

· £50,000, if that same rider also wins the Leading Show Jumper of the Year.

The Grand Prix, on Sunday’s Gala Night is not only the final class of the Bonus Challenge, but is also the final class of the week. The atmosphere during the evening is always electric, and I know that the possibility of HOYS awarding the £100,000 jackpot during the evening will add to the level of tension, excitement and anticipation already felt by both the audience and the competitors” commented Mark Wein, Director of Grandstand Media.
