Hampton Conservatories on Display at Hampton Classic Horse Show

Bridgehampton, NY — August 26, 2003 — When guests arrive at the VIP Tent at the 28th Hampton Classic Horse Show, they will be treated to a stunning sample of the Hampton Conservatories’ handiwork.

An enclosed glass structure featuring a fireplace and decorated with fine furniture, including a white baby grand piano, the conservatory is on display throughout the Classic, running until Sunday, August 31.

“Last year was our first year with the Hampton Classic,” explained Russ Ireland, Jr. of Hampton Conservatories. “We had been here before as guests, and we contacted Tony Hitchcock (Executive Director of the Hampton Classic Horse Show) about getting involved. Tony felt the Hampton Classic would like to have a feature for the entrance of the VIP tent and we thought we could accomplish that.

“This is a fairly new business for us, but we were getting more and more inquiries from eastern Long Island, so we thought it would be great to showcase our product at the Hampton Classic,” continued Ireland. “We didn’t have any expectations or anticipations in terms of sales, we simply wanted to introduce our product and let people know what is available in terms of enhancing their lifestyle and living environment.”

Established in 1997, Hampton Conservatories, who also produce solariums, pool enclosures and greenhouses, is enjoying its second year of sponsorship at the Hampton Classic Horse Show.

“We love being part of the Classic, we love that the show benefits the Southampton Hospital, and we hope that we bring something special to the show itself,” explains Ireland.

Hampton Conservatories is unique in the conservatory industry, being the only company of its kind in both America and Britain to manufacture these magnificent glass buildings in hardwood, Aluminum and uPVC. It is also the only company that offers its clients a full service from the initial design through to the installation, furnishing and landscaping.

The Hampton Classic Horse Show, a week-long sports and entertainment spectacle, culminates on Sunday, August 31, with the $150,000 Prudential Financial Grand Prix, a member event of the King Shavings/U.S. Grand Prix League (USGPL).

In addition to daily competition in six rings, spectators will be treated to a variety of other exhibits including the Boutique Garden’s 40 vendor booths, Stable Row’s 20 booths, three on-site public restaurants, and the educational exhibition area ‘The World of the Horse’ complete with pony rides, the new Mercado and various displays of horses, birds, and farm animals.
