On Sunday, there will also be a freestyle dressage competition with a $10,000 cash prize. The three-star level eventing competition is designated the National Championship of Eventing and is only one of two three-star level eventing competitions in the nation. This spectacular event showcases the only sport in the world where men and women compete on equal terms. To add to the exhilarating spectacle of three-day eventing, this year Foxhall Events, LLC is presenting the inaugural Foxhall Flower Show, modeled after the breathtaking Chelsea Gardens Flower Show in London. Participants in the Foxhall Flower Show can compete within a variety of categories to display gardening talents. The total prize money for the Flower Show is $100,000.

The addition of two newcomers to Foxhall Events, LLC will enhance this year’s events with their expertise. Caroline Leake, Managing Director of Foxhall Events, LLC and Gail Mobley, the Executive Director for the MBNA Foxhall Cup, both bring extensive experience from non-profit organizations.

The 2002 MBNA Foxhall Cup and first ever Foxhall Flower Show, April 18th-21st, will showcase a variety of exciting events and crowd pleasing spectacles. This year, both events are offering retail villages featuring upscale vendors and a food court. In addition, Foxhall Farm is a pet-friendly facility and spectators may bring a picnic to this family event.
