USET Appoints Jamie Saults as Director of Reining Activities

Gladstone, NJ—March 21, 2003—The United States Equestrian Team (USET) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jamie Saults of Freehold, NJ, as Director of Reining Activities.

Saults began working for the USET in 1995 as a consultant in Public Relations and Television Production. Additionally, Saults has worked in television as an ESPN Producer/Associate Producer for twenty years and has worked for NBC and ABC Sports at major equestrian events including five summer Olympic Games. Recently, Saults had the honor of working with broadcast legend Jim McKay on the NBC team at the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City.

Saults became familiar with Reining while covering the event at the Bayer/USET Festival of Champions, presented by State Line Tack. Saults was the USET media representative at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain and was on hand when the USET Reining team made history by winning the team Gold and individual Gold and Silver medals.

“Watching the USET Reining Team make history was very emotional and very special,” said Saults. “It gave me a wonderful opportunity to get to know the reiners and the discipline even more. I am really looking forward to my new role with the USET and the Reining discipline.”

USET Executive Director Bonnie Jenkins took great pleasure in announcing Saults’s new position. "Jamie's enthusiasm, background and knowledge of international equestrian sport is an incredible asset to the discipline of reining and their bright future in the international arena,” she said. “We are thrilled to have her as the USET Director of Reining."
