USET Announces Squad For The 2002 World Equestrian Games Endurance Squad

Gladstone, New Jersey-June 28, 2002-The United States Equestrian Team (USET) has announced the endurance squad of six riders and nine alternates, pending Executive Committee approval, that will represent the United States in the 2002 World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain in September.
Named to the squad of six (in alphabetical order) are:

The squad was named based on the candidates' past records as submitted in the nomination applications and during the Qualification Period as evaluated by the Selectors.
The United States has been a dominant force in endurance riding, having won the individual Gold Medal at every World Championship since the biennial event was first held in 1986 through 1998. Additionally, the U.S. won team Gold Medals in 1988 and 1996, as well as team Silver in 1992 and 1998.
