Equine Affairs Unaffiliated Three Day Event Preparation Evening

Milton Keynes Eventing Centre and Equine Affairs, sponsors of the Unaffiliated Three Day Event, have teamed up with leading professionals to provide competitors with an action packed evening of lectures and demonstrations in the lead up to the Autumn 3DE on 19th-21st September.

"A three day event requires so much from both horse and rider we wanted to ensure competitors were fully prepared and received maximum support and advice in the lead up to the event." explained Victoria Lewis, Director of Equine Affairs.

The evening is open to all riders and is a unique opportunity to receive practical advice on key areas of the competition with the aim to improving your performance. The evening includes a demonstration from Lesley Payton-Gilbert, International Dressage Trainer & Rider, followed by a practical session on the three dressage tests showing riders how to maximise their test performance and secure that all important low score.

Renowned International Showjumper and Event Rider, Nick Turner, will be discussing common problems during the speed and endurance test, paying particular attention to the Roads & Tracks & Steeplechase phase and achieving that optimum time. Towcester Veterinary Centre will cover the horse inspection and care of the horse in the 10-minute box followed by a talk from Baileys Horse Feeds on feeding for performance.

Competitors will have the chance to ask any questions at the end of the evening and will all go home with a goody bag including further information on the areas covered and free gifts!

The evening starts at 7pm on 29th August at MKEC. Advance Tickets are just £5 and includes entry, dinner, prize draw and goody bag. Limited tickets will be available on the night at £8. The cost of the tickets can be redeemed against entry into the Equine Affairs Spring Three Day Event in 2004. To book, please contact Milton Keynes Eventing Centre on 01908 511329 or email: admin@miltonkeyneseventingcentre.com.
