Horses For Students

Grand Cypress Equestrian Center and Success Is Easy have joined for a “hands on horses” learning program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Equine Studies degree.

The degree program is completely online, and while students work with horses, they do not get “in person” riding instruction. During school or after graduation, students are encouraged to attend the world-class British Horse Society “approved” Grand Cypress facility in Orlando, Florida, for all skill levels of riding instruction.

Success Is Easy provides the curriculum for the Bachelor’s degree which is awarded by Breyer State University.

With a faculty of outstanding professional horsemen and women who have proven their abilities in the field, the accredited degree program offers convenience and affordability. Students can start their studies at any time, work at their own pace, and get one-on-one assistance by e-mail from their instructors. While most students will get their diploma within 24 months, there are no completion deadlines.

Sixteen courses are required to earn the accredited degree and include a horse-training course that requires the student to take a horse from before the first saddle to advanced movements. Surprisingly most graduates say the online course was more valuable than having someone standing beside them and instructing.

“I had to learn how to solve training problems on my own,” says student Carolee DeWitt, “and I did.”

Course descriptions, samples of text and quizzes, and comments by students can be viewed at www.horsecoursesonline.com. Online registration is available.
