Hickstead In 2002

Attendance at the All England Jumping Course, Hickstead's two shows this year totalled 84,750 - 40,432 at the Hickstead Derby Meeting and 44,318 at the Golden Jubilee Royal International Horse Show.

"We were slightly down on 2001, mainly because of two extremes in the weather," said director Edward Bunn. "It was either so hot that people did not want to be burned by the sun, or as happened on Derby day, very wet.
