USA Equestrian Membership Surpasses Record Set Last Year

As of September 1, the membership of USA Equestrian numbered 83,624, exceeding the record total of 2002 membership. Total membership for 2002 numbered 82,867, up from 80,760 in 2001 and 77,441 in 2000.

“We are excited to see continued growth in equestrian sports. USA Equestrian staff is dedicated to continuing to service our growing membership and assisting them in their equestrian endeavors” said Mary Henson, Director of Membership.

USA Equestrian membership offers an array of benefits. All Life, Platinum, Senior and Junior members receive automatic insurance coverage of $1 million in personal excess liability insurance for horse-related accidents that cause bodily injury or property damage to third parties. Travel benefits are offered with Hertz, Choice Hotels and United Airlines. Amateur certification is offered free of charge to those who qualify and the definitive guide to equestrian sport, the USA Equestrian Rule Book, is also a bonus to members. Federation members are also eligible to compete in recognized shows, become USA Equestrian judges, stewards and technical delegates and are eligible to participate in the extensive USA Equestrian awards program.
