The Thrush Remedy was tested by Dot Sim a nurse at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Dot spends all her spare time at the yard and has a keen interest in Horse Care. She tested this product on 2 horses, Jane and her own horse Tully
The application of the thrush remedy Dot's comments:
I found this to be a most effective remedy in curing thrush in both the horses I have used it on.

1st Horse Jane is a chestnut mare with naturally weak feet who was on box rest (deep litter) for 3 weeks following a bad cut to her left hind. Both hind feet were badly affected with thrush but within 9 days the thrush had virtually disappeared. The oil was applied daily for first 10 days, then twice weekly for next two weeks and there were no signs of reoccurence.

2nd Horse I purchased Tully in November 1999. At the time she had bad thrush in all four feet. The oil was used as above, except I continued applying it daily for two weeks then twice weekly and have continued to apply once a week as part of the regular grooming routine. The Blacksmith first saw Tully's feet 3 weeks after I bought her and could find no signs of thrush.

The oil was applied after picking out the feet and massaged in using either fingers or a small brush. The instructions are clearly written on the bottle. I found that the oil is easy to use and reasonably priced at £5.25 for 50ml or £9.25 for 100ml. Each bottle lasts some time as only a few drops need be applied at one time.

I have also noted that the oil is very good for the soles of the feet and the outer hoof wall, allowing moisture exchange and keeping them healthy. Overall, I would highly recommend this product.
