Gist Silversmiths pledges continued support of APHA programs and services

FORT WORTH, Texas-The American Paint Horse Association (APHA) and Gist Silversmiths, whose roots are both firmly planted in family, will continue their strong relationship through Gist's renewed partnership with the Association.
Gist Silversmiths, of Placerville, Calif., has had a relationship with APHA for more than a decade, one that will continue through the association's use of the company's quality products. During this time, Gist has provided handcrafted buckles to outstanding APHA members, as well as providing custom-made Paint Horse jewelry for sale through the association's General Store.
Gist provided buckles for hundreds of award-winning APHA members, as well as sharing APHA's emphasis on family. Gist Silversmiths is a family-owned and family-run business. Family members own Paint Horses, are APHA members and support the growth of the breed.
"We greatly appreciate the opportunity to continue our long-standing partnership with APHA," said Jennifer Folsom, vice president/general manager of Gist. "Gist is committed to offering APHA the best in design, craftsmanship and customer service at an affordable price for the association's numerous programs."
Among the programs that Gist will continue to support are:
" APHA's World Championship Paint Horse Show-Gist provides handmade buckles to winners during the show.
" Clubs of Distinction-By helping to support APHA's outstanding clubs throughout the country, Gist has helped to encourage people to become more involved in the association through their local APHA clubs.
" Paint Alternative Competitions (PAC)-Gist provides awards for top earners in the PAC program. PAC records the performance of registered American Paint Horses-Regular Registry or Breeding Stock-when it performs in an activity outside of breed-approved shows.
" Youth and Rookie of The Year-Gist provides specialized belt buckles for these two prestigious APHA honors.

"Gist has supported APHA's growth for more than 10 years, and that kind of dedication speaks volumes about the company," said Jim Kelley, executive secretary of APHA.
For more than 30 years, Gist has made handcrafted buckles for several different types of events and awards. Gist has provided buckles to world champion competitors, celebrities, dignitaries, and to those who have an eye for craftsmanship and value. Gist's products not only include belts, and jewelry, but also spurs and bits.
