Longines Goes For Gold At Royal International Horse Show

Longines, the esteemed watch brand synonymous with precision time-keeping, quality craftsmanship and classic elegance, is to reaffirm its commitment to the world of equestrianism by acting as the official timekeeper at this year's prestigious Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead. In addition to this significant role throughout the duration of the show 23 - 27 July 2003, the brand has undertaken title sponsorship of the renowned King George V Gold Cup, which attracts the crème de la crème of international male showjumpers.

The King George V Gold Cup, which boasts a total prize money of £30,000 with £10,000 awarded to the winner of the competition, is one of The Royal International Horse Show's most celebrated classes in the International Arena and a key event on the international showjumping circuit.

In addition to the sought after 18ct gold cup, Longines' Brand Director Katrina Jones, will be presenting the winner with a Longines Evidenza gentleman's automatic chronograph watch in stainless steel with a black roman dial and date function, with both runners up each receiving a Longines Evidenza gentleman's automatic watch.

Longines' association with The Royal International Horse Show underpins the brand's strong allegiance to supporting equestrianism and specifically showjumping at an international level, and is in line with the overall brand sponsorship strategy to maintain a strong presence at the world's most highly regarded showjumping events.
