PASO FINO ODYSSEY INTO THE FUTURE |
The 29th Paso Fino
Horse Association Grand National Show was held in Perry,
Georgia, September 17-22, 2001 with more than 800 horses competing for
more
than $135,000 in prize money and awards.
Judges for the 2001
Championship were Ms. Carmen Cepero, Tampa, Florida, Dr.
Jose Laracuente, Miami, Florida, Mr. Nicanor Miranda, Miami, Florida,
Mr.
Tom Walters, Magnolia, Texas and Ms. Alice Page, Kingsport, Tennessee.
Inducted into the
Paso Fino Horse Association Hall of Fame was long-time
breeder and exhibitor, Mr. Fred Moretti, also a USA Equestrian and PFHA
Steward and Chairperson of the USA Equestrian Paso Fino Committee. Mr.
and
Mrs. Tom and Mary Uelsmann were also honored as inductees along with the
stallion, Majestuoso.

the U.S., is the regulatory body for the Olympic and World Championship
sports of dressage, driving, endurance, eventing, reining, show jumping,
and vaulting, as well as 19 other breeds and disciplines of equestrian
competition. As the country's largest multi-breed organization, the Federation
has over 77,000 members and recognizes more than 2,800 competitions nationwide
each year. It governs all aspects of competition, including educating
and licensing all judges, stewards, and technical delegates who officiate
at these shows.
